What began as a conversation between two friends has grown roots across the country.

Roots was founded in New Orleans by Mike Kosich and Amorrow Morgan on a simple belief: in an industry built on who you know, too many high character, hardworking people never get the chance to be known at all. College basketball wasn't always built for the blue collar individual, the ones without a family name or an inside connection. Roots exists to change that.

At its core, Roots is a relationship driven network connecting the people who shape college basketball, both on the court and behind the scenes. Coaches, administrators, agents, scouts, search firms, business leaders, and influencers all find their place here. The belief is simple: relationships create opportunities. When good people build genuine connections, those connections open doors to jobs, partnerships, representation, and the kind of meaningful moves that shape careers.

The name reflects the philosophy. Every relationship is a root. As those roots deepen and grow together, they become something larger: a community built on trust, loyalty, and a shared commitment to helping others climb.

The Roots Final Four Social is where that community comes together in person, the signature gathering during college basketball's biggest annual event. The 2026 edition marked the 5th Annual Roots Final Four Social, held April 4 in Indianapolis. But the social is just one expression of something that lives year round.

What started between two friends in New Orleans has grown into a nationally recognized organization, and the roots keep spreading.
